Filming for the film was set in Romania which proved to be traumatic for Milian. She suffered discrimination based on race, as well as realizing that her ex-boyfriend Nick Cannon had cheated on her. It was a huge success on the international market and made over eleven times it's budget. It was also appreciated by the reviewers. She reprised her part in the three subsequent sequels to the film. Following her role as the lead in Friends, she reached an all-new level of recognition. For her role, she received many awards and nominations. This series was hugely successful and aired over 10 years. Her most recent work includes an acting role in Mothers and Daughters, a drama film. The awards she has won includes the TV Guide Award, which she received for her performance as a character in Friends. Another award is the Golden Derby Award that she won for her performance in Cougar Town.
