By 2020 it will have 41 hits in this category. Following the time that Justin Bieber released his bilingual remix of Despacito in the year 2017, famous artists started to work with reggaeton artists. Drake and Bad Bunny collaborated on MIA (2018) as did Madonna and Maluma. Madonna collaborated with Maluma for Medellin, 2019 The year 2000 saw a number of reggaeton stars were complaining about its inclination towards mainstream but a new generation, led by Rauw Alejandro, aimed to ensure that reggaeton was evolving.
