Lucy Liu is an American voice actress, producer and singer. A beautiful, smart and gifted actress, she is an model for Asian actors who want to make it big in Hollywood. Following a string of early performances in popular shows her fame was boosted when she joined the crew of the cult comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. The actress took her initial fame into major screen roles in films like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. The film Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an outstanding performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren Shii. In this period, she played the lead in some failures on the box-office like Rise: Blood Hunter. She then started voicing prominent characters in animated films such including Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's part in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen film, failed to produce results. An appearance in the critically-acclaimed police drama series Southland allowed her to regain her status as an actress of note. Liu is very careful in picking her roles to ensure that she is not cast in a very competitive industry. As much as she loves her culture but it doesn't mean she has to be when it comes to her career being an artist.
